The first week of the winter sports season saw some stellar individual performances turned in by our talented girls basketball and girls wrestling student-athletes.
With her performance on the mat, Sullivan all-state wrestler Rachel Ramirez has been selected as the latest winner for PressBox812 Sports Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Landry Masonry Construction.
A pair of student-athletes who put up career-best times on the cross county course highlight the latest winners for the PressBox812 Sports Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Landry Construction for the Week of November 4.
RACHEL RAMIREZ: The Sullivan junior picked up a first-place championship at the inaugural Lady Arrows Brawl. Ramirez breezed through the 130-pound weight class with a perfect 5-0 record. All five of her wins came via pin and all happened within the first period.
