A pair of student-athletes who set career-high totals highlight the latest winners for the PressBox812 Sports Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Landry Masonry Construction.
Shakamak volleyball player Bralyn Calvert and North Knox football player Camden McCory have been selected as winners for the Week of October 7 for their accomplishments.
BRALYN CALVERT — In the Lakers’ regular season finale against Clay City, the sophomore set a new career high with 16 kills in the win. The win also helped Shakamak secure a second-place finish in the Southwestern Indiana Athletic Conference standings.
CAMDEN MCCORY — Entering the Week 7 matchup against North Daviess with the most receptions on the season, McCory had his number called primarily in the Warriors’ run game. The junior racked up a career-high 127 yards on the ground, which was tops among rushers in the game. McCory also came up with an interception on defense.
