A new school record and a career first highlights the latest winners for the PressBox812 Sports Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Landry Masonry Construction.
Sullivan boys tennis player and North Knox girls soccer player Hadley Williams have been selected as winners for the Week of September 30 for their accomplishments.
HUNTER PINKSTON — The sophomore helped the Arrows to a 3-2 win over Bloomfield in the opening round of the Linton-Stockton Sectional. With his win over the Cardinals, Pinkston also broke the Sullivan school record for most wins in a single season at the No. 2 singles position. The 17 wins broke Drew Bakers’ record set last season. Pinkson would add to his record with another win in the sectional championship win over the host Miners.
HADLEY WILLIAMS — The senior helped the Lady Warriors to a 3-0 win over Washington Catholic with a pair of goals. Primarily a defender, the two goals were the first two of her career.
