NORTH CENTRAL 188, Cloverdale 191, Linton-Stockton 213: The T-Birds posted their lowest score in two seasons in picking up a triangular win on Thursday at Phil Harris. The score was 12 strokes better than their previous season-best on Tuesday at the Sullivan Elks.
Caden Wood was the low man for North Central, posting a 9-hole total of 43. Wood’s total was two shots better than teammate Brody Ladson and was also good enough to claim medalist honors. Ladson’s score was a career-best.
SULLIVAN 177, Owen Valley 188, North Central 200, Eastern Greene 226: After placing 10th at the Northview Invitational over the weekend, the Arrows picked up a quad win on their home course Tuesday evening. Sullivan freshman Tanner Boyl continued his impressive start to the season, posting an even-par round of 35 to earn medalist honors for the first time in his high school career.
The talented freshman recorded four birdies during the round, including three straight on holes No. 7-9.
Cash Murdock and Eli Van Ness both posted rounds of 47 while Connor Brundige rounded out the scoring with a 9-hole score of 48.
Sam Couch also posted a 48 for the Arrows while Brady Druy carded a 49.
Caden Wood and Jace Hooper led the T-Birds with rounds of 49 while Sam Orsburn and freshman Brody Ladson were both two shots back.
Loogootee 164, Vincennes Rivet 170, North Knox 184: After picking up quad wins in their first two matches of the season earlier in the week, the Warriors dropped a triangular against a pair of conference foes on Wednesday.
The Lions’ top four golfers all posted scores of 43 or better on the front-9 at High Pointe, led by No. 2 golfer Ryken Chandler.
The Patriots’ No. 3 golfer Fisher Lemon, was the meet medalist with a 2-over-par round of 37.
North Knox was led by freshman Jayden Hatfield’s round of 41. A three-putt double-bogey on the final hole prevented his first round scoring in the 30’s.
The freshman recorded a birdie on the 126-yard Par 3 third. It was the only birdie recorded on the hole in the match.
Hatfield’s score was the third time this season he has posted the low score on the team in a match. He earned meet medalist honors the previous night in a quad win over Linton-Stockton, Shakamak and White River Valley at Phil Harris.
Yogi Cardinal and Brock Collins posted rounds of 46 and 47, respectively, while Will Arnold rounded out the scoring with a 50.
Freshmen Luke Schroeder and Koltyn Freeman carded scores of 56 and 57.
North Knox posted a season low score of 181 in a quad win earlier in the week against North Daviess and Shoals.
