Making a push towards the postseason, the Sullivan girls golf team hit the links for a pair of dual matches this week.
The Arrows came up short earlier in the week against Linton-Stockton before dropping a closer match at Owen Valley on Wednesday.
Against the Miners, sophomore Lori Alumbaugh paced the Arrows with a round of 59.
Emelia Lynn earned medalist honors with a 9-hole score of 42 as the Miners defeated Sullivan, 215-250, at Phil Harris Golf Course.
Carol Witt placed second on the Arrows with a score of 63, while Lanie Donnar and Layla Ellis rounded out the scoring with a pair of 64’s.
Sophomore Madison Lyttle made her varsity debut, filling in for Maggie Danko, and carded a 68.
In Wednesday’s match at Pine Woods, the Arrows shaved five strokes off their team score from Monday but fell by 14 shots.
Alumbaugh once again was the low player for Sullivan as the first-year golfer posted a round of 60.
Witt fired a 61, while Donnar and Ellis rounded out the Lady Arrows’ scoring with rounds of 62 and 64, respectively.
Liv Stogsdill finished as medalist for the Patriots with a score of 52.
Sullivan played at in a triangular against host North Knox and South Knox at High Pointe Country Club in Bicknell on Thursday.
