Pike Central 172, North Knox 173, Shoals 185: The Warriors shaved 17 strokes from their score the previous night but came up just short against the Chargers.

 

Pike Central’s Cameron Roy was medalist with a 2-over-par round of 37 on the Warriors’ home course at High Pointe.

 

Roy’s 9-hole total was two shots clear of North Knox’s Yogi Cardinal. The 39 for Cardinal was his best round of the season by four shots.

 

North Knox freshman Jayden Hatfield was second on the team with a round of 44, while sophomore Brock Collins and freshman Luke Schroeder rounded out the scoring with 45’s.

 

In the previous four matches, Hatfield was the Warriors’ top scorer, including medalist honors twice.

 

Freshman Jude Mulkey and junior Will Arnold finished with rounds of 45 and 47, respectively.

 

Playing in the reserve match, freshman Owen Lane also turned in a 9-hole score of 45.

 

North Knox (9-3) travels to Princeton Community on Monday after being rained out on Friday against Bloomfield.

 

 

 

Sullivan 179, Shakamak 201: After suffering a loss against Bloomfield by one stroke on Wednesday, the Arrows bounced back with a dual win over the Lakers on Thursday at Phil Harris.

 

Tanner Boyll earned medalist honors for the Arrows with a round of 39.

 

No other information was provided.

 

In Wednesday’s loss against Bloomfield at the Elks, the Arrows posted a team score of 182.

 

Sullivan was led by Cash Murdock’s round of 41, which was one stroke shy of Bloomfield’s Blake Neill for medalist honors.

 

Sullivan’s talented freshman Tanner Boyll posted a score of 46 from the No. 1 spot, while No. 6 golfer Connor Brudige was third on the team with a 47. Eli VanNess rounded out the scoring with a 48.

 

Brady Drury and Xander Ferro also played and posted non-team scoring rounds of 49 and 50, respectively. 

 

 

 

NORTH KNOX 190, North Central 200: The Warriors posted their highest score of the season on Wednesday at the Sullivan Elks but managed to pull off the triangular win against the host T-Birds and White River Valley.

 

Warrior freshman Jayden Hatfield earned medalist honors for the second time this season with a round of 43.

 

Yogi Cardinal was three shots behind Hatfield, while Will Arnold and Owen Lane rounded out the scoring with rounds of 50 and 51, respectively. 

 

Senior Mark Lehmann earned a spot on the varsity for the first time and posted a score of 61.

 

North Central was led by freshman Brody Ladson’s round of 47, while Sam Osburn was one stroke behind his teammate. 

 

Zeke Hunt (52) and Journey Campbell (53) rounded out the scoring for the T-Birds.

 

Luke Schroeder and Jude Mulkey posted scores of 47 in the reserve match for the Warriors, while Brock Collins and Koltyn Freeman posted 9-hole scores of 49 and 50.
