SHAKAMAK 173, Eastern Greene 184, Clay City 206: Despite posting a double-bogey on the final hole, Mason Barton won medalist honors in leading the Lakers to a win over a pair of conference teams. The Shakamak senior carded a 9-hole score of 39 which was two shots clear of Eastern Greene’s Roman Valentine.

Will Miller and Blaise Newton posted rounds of 44 while Wyatt Barcus rounded out the Lakers’ scoring with a 47.

All four golfers have been the low man at least once this season.

Freshman Maddox Barton also finished his round with a 46 at Stone Crest GC.

Cloverdale 160, Owen Valley 198, Sullivan 203: The Arrows golfers shot a season-high round during Thursday’s match at Clover Meadows.

Hunter Pirtle and Eli VanNess led Sullivan with a pair of 50’s. Lincoln Riley (51) and Xander Ferro rounded out the scoring with 9-hole scores of 51 and 52, respectively.

Cloverdale’s Zachary Thomas was medalist of the match with a 2-under Par, 34.

South Knox 158, North Daviess 194, North Knox 207: The Warriors came up short in a triangular at Cypress Hills GC.

Hunter Noonan paced North Knox with a 9-hole score of 49, while Yogi Cardinal was one shot behind his teammate.

Blake Goodwin (52) and Kaden Boyles (56) rounded out the Warriors’ scoring.

“The course was in good shape,” North Knox coach Brent Noonan said. “But this was the first time some of our kids had played there and the large, sloping greens gave us some trouble. But the experience was great for them.”

South Knox’s Cameron Chattin was medalist of the meet with a round of 37.
