BICKNELL — The Sullivan girls golf team wrapped up their busy week by playing in a triangular match on Thursday at High Pointe Country Club. The Arrows battled North Knox and South Knox, playing the back nine.

Sullivan shot its best round of the week, placing second on the evening. The Lady Arrows fired a 245, one stroke ahead of South Knox, but fell to the host Warriors by 18 shots.

Just like in the previous two matches of the week, sophomore Lori Alumbaugh paced Sullivan during the match, carding a 57.

“Lori has hit some really good shots the last few rounds,” Arrows’ coach Jeff Moore said of his first-year golfer. “She is hitting some nice drives off the tee … once she can put everything together at the same time, she can be really good.”

Carol Witt was second on the team with a 61 while freshman Lanie Donnar was two strokes behind Witt. Lalya Ellis rounded out the scoring for the Arrows with a round of 64.
